Project meeting in Völklingen, Germany

The consortium of the EU research project HIYIELD visited Saarstahl AG in Völklingen, Germany, on December 13^th and 14^th. This meeting and plant visit was a significant milestone for the project. The first day was packed with informative presentations, setting the stage for the highlight of the visit: a comprehensive tour of the Völklingen steel plant. This excursion, conducted on the second day, offered the participants a firsthand look at the practical application of the project's models. They were particularly impressed by the plant's modern facilities, its advanced level of automation, and the variety of AI models actively utilized in the steel manufacturing processes.
