The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, KTH, has received funding from the Horizon Europe Call “Twin Green and Digital Transition 2021” within the Clean Steel Partnership program! At the project kick-off in July 2022 the project team went through the details.

The project “HIYIELD – Highly Efficient Technologies for Increased Yields in Steelmaking Processes and Reduced Environmental Impact” aims to promote a circulareconomy by progressively increasing the scrap uptake in three scenarios representing the current European #steelmaking routes. KTH, through Björn Glaser, acts as the main coordinator for the project, which kicked off with a meeting in Stockholm in July.

Other European partners: Ferriere Nord (Italy), Aeiforos Metal Processing (Greece), Saarstahl AG (Germany), Theo Steil GmbH (Germany), voestalpine BÖHLER Edelstahl GmbH & Co KG (Austria) and Minkon GmbH (Germany).
